I know, it's just crazy. Old people are dying in line waiting for the damn thing.

It's sad I see my hometown mentioned in news stories here all the time.

"A woman was arrested Friday in Shreveport, Louisiana, for disorderly conduct, accused of yelling at a police officer who was trying to move a crowd back. Some 600 people had showed up for 250 doses of vaccine."

I've never had a flu shot in my life. I rarely get sick.

the flu shot is one of the biggest scams in this country. the flu shot is a year behind in strain so the shot you get this year will protect you from last years virus. If the virus has changed, which it does almost yearly ( mainly because of the flu shot ), then the flu shot does you no good. Plus, the flu shot is nothing more than a small does of the flu so if you have an immune system that is weak against the flu, all the shot will do is give you the flu.

I used to get a flu shot every year and every year I got the flu and I just told myself that it's not as bad as it would be without the shot. About 7-8 years ago a nurse friend of mine told me the truth behind the flu shot and I stopped getting them and haven't had the flu since.

havent had one either in 2 decades, havent had the flu either for about as long.

The issue I don't see being raised is forget this run on flu shots, what kind of chaos would be going on with smallpox vaccinations? :helpme

I'm not looking forward to that day, but if people are selling flu shots for 1000% markup, and stealing it in the middle of the night from doctors offices, severe rioting will definately insue for a vaccine that could save your life. :(

Steer clear of old people and also poor people and you will hardly ever get sick. Works for me.

Yea it's crazy...Americans are flying up here to Vancouver and getting flu shots for 20 bucks a pop at the airport

Well..maybe it's BECAUSE so many people got flu shots, didn't get sick and thus didn't spread the bug around! DOH!

Plus, it really is needed by those with repressed immune systems etc like the elderly.

but what the heck. I'll wait for all those threads that invariably show up here: "Man..I'm sicker than shit with the flu!"

It's not the same as a flu shot, but the only times I've gotten really sick were the years I did not take this. :glugglug

I got a flu shot once and got extremely sick immediately afterwards. I don't need it.
