Ask yourself how many quality independent or Oscar winning movies made bank. Box office success is more likely an indicator of mass appeal (and remember how stupid the masses are) than quality.

When I go to a movie my only requirement is that I am entertained vs how much I spend.

Movies do that in different ways. If you *and I'm referring to the general population* are looking for life's answers in a movie and not just 120 minutes of escape from life's drudgery you're looking in the wrong place.

I saw it in the theater thinking I'd like the special effects, but in total they're only a few minutes of effects, the rest is a bunch of boring crap about people slogging through snow and running from freezing air.
