That's called webalizer. You have one main domain, and every other domain in the stats page turns up as secondarydomain.maindomain.com . Can't say if he is telling the truth or not, but you are wrong on that one.

The domain is on a sub-domain. The only reason I hid it is because I didn't want the full path in there just to be sure.

You have nothing to loose, and if you do it through escrow you can be sure that he pays you but I wouldn't have a doubt that he doesn't pay if everything is as you said.
