Any White People Still Making Music?

Howard Stern every Friday plays the Top 5 songs on the radio. Every week it's the same - all black artists.

Where the white artists be at?

Even the ones who are white are not "white".

MattO 10-15-2004 12:28 PM

For every non-white artist there's a white record exec making huge amounts of money from them.

Seriuosly hip hop is too big, every person I see listens too it and not rock WHITE ASIAN WHATEVER. FUCK HIT caps again.

Somehow we have to bring rock back. Even worse rock is splitting up, with eletronica and punk in the main stream they are shooting their own foot. It's like a Army splitting up.

My mission besides making millions :winkwink: is too bring rock back.

It's starting here with my band:

But more important go see a rock show or buy a new cd is the producers thaT NEED TO SEE IT'S WORTH IT TO PROMOITE THEM TO hOWARD STERN AND SHIT LIKE THAT. oops hit caps.

mainly because most rock fans don't mind stealing music. And girls like to dance and guys like girls so shit where fucked.

BRING BACK ROCK! :thumbsup

Record companies are not interesting in signing bands that make good music, they try to sell an image and a story. If Buddy Holly were a new artist trying to make it, he would never get signed because he's too damn geeky for MTV. If Pink Floyd were young lads in England today, we'd never hear of them because their 20 minute songs aren't exactly radio-friendly. The Who? Stones? AC/DC? Too loud, too ugly, too many real instruments as opposed to keyboards and computers.

White people are still making music, good music, but you won't find it on the shelves of your local Wal-Mart, nor will you hear it on mainstream radio.

The slimeball record companies saw something that worked, then overdid it. Even the white guys they push, are basically black, Eminem and Timberlake.

I think in time Hip Hop is going to go the way of disco. There is definitely a need for a rock revival. The next Led Zepplin, Black Sabbath, etc. But that isn't going to happen until the big record companies and mtv allow it.

Hip Hop is burning the wick at both ends, it will cease in time.

Hmmm,

Last night, the CBC broadcast Diana Krall's session at this summer's Montreal Jazz festival.

Excellent performance.

I can't listen to much on the radio. Always return to jazz, and Diana is hot.

I don't understand her with Elvis....... I envy him.

:)

All the best rock has been done. You can hear new rock on any alternative rock station which are in every locale. It sucks even worse than hiphop, which blows itself.

When I listen to rock, I listen to things like AC/DC, not Hoobastank.

You could say the same thing about black artists that play Jazz , Blues, and reggae (real reggae with instruments, not dancehall). There time passed and they don't get radio play or MTV play. Rock had it's heyday and has been on the decline ever since.

I like Hubba, anyways I think it's this mentallity that's kiiling rock music. It's hard to be original but it's done and it's still cool remember that's why we liked rock in the first place.

I totally agree with you on this one Goatse!

Music in general is gradually demising...period..I expressed views of this a few days ago about hip hop groups and their entourages. OMFG! It was hilarious!

Your absolutely right its all about image nowadays... It's dissapointing what's happening in the intertainment industry these days...Wheres the real Talent???:2 cents:
