My daughter recently asked me this question. It was tough to answer as I have different moods always and my taste in music goes with my mood.
So what is your favorite band? year? song?

Like you though...I don't really have a favorite Era...I like all kinds of stuff...some other bands would be: Type O Negative, Danzig, The Doors, Slayer, Kind Diamond, Ozzy, Celestial Seasons, Therion....all kinds of stuff But as you can probably tell I usually stay between metal and rock lol http://bbs.gofuckyourself.com/board/wink.gif

I recently got turned onto Cradle Of Filth, but have always been a huge fan of Slayer, Venom, Megadeth, Morbid Angel, etc. but still hold a softspot fof 80's hair metal and I can even stand some of the newer nu metal stuff...I've also started listening to a lot of old country again, stuff like Hank Williams, Marty Robbins, Johnny Cash, etc. and polka (seriously, that's some hardcore partying music...every other song is about beer ;))

My tastes vary a lot, depending on my mood, or what's going on around me. But as far as era goes, it's really hard to beat the mid-sixties through early seventies. That actually encompasses a couple eras, but there's a lot of good music in there.
