hey guys i posted this yesterday but only 18 people or somthing looked at it so im posting it again ...........

I am thinking of setting up a service at my domain so that adult webmasters can sign up and get a FREE mailing list . So that they can collect surfers emails and SPAM the hell out of them . Everything would be hosted on my site you would just need to add the form to your page . And then you would login at my domain and could send mail / add users /delete users . In exchange i either get a linkback on your site or can email your list once a week or something .

2 questions :

1. Would you consider using this service ?
2. Any ideas ?

its not a spam list . your email address would only get added if you signed up just like at teenmail or riskymail etc. You will be able to remove your address at any time . And all the lists are seperate . So say you had someone at domain.com only the webmaster there could email his list .

Okay, so then it's basically an opt-in email list that the surfers are willingly submitting their addresses to, that anyone could easily set up on their own sites without having to give up any real estate for your banner. Am I way off base here?

Some people could set this up themselves but alot of people dont have cgi or dont know how to use it . And if someone uses terra or another freehost that doesnt have cgi they could stick the script at the bottom of their page . And gather alot of email addresses very quickly and use no bandwith if they are using paid hosting . And i they dont have to stick my banner on their page , i wouldnt force that on any one as banner space is very precious . Though a text link on their links page would be nice . And i have the option to let me email there list once a week/2weeks/month so they wouldnt lose any traffic or anything.

And i am open to any ideas of how to change this for better .

on my script it takes you to a page after you opt-in ... thats bandwith and when you want to opt out

I am not sure if by opt in - you mean that you verify the email as well (by asking the person to confirm). I believe this is called double opt-in.

If not, you will run into trouble - big time.

I haven't really tried it much, but there is a guy on ARS doing something similar who does very well with it. Your idea is something a little different, but I think it has some potential. Not sure exactly how you plan on making your money (as you would get screwed by webmasters if you had no control over the links), but he takes 1 out of 12 emails as his (I think it is how he does it).
