Freedom & Democracy. Why do we assume..
that others want it or our brand of it?
Bush stated last night that the only way to make the world safe is to ensure democracy prevails. Same old coldwar bullshit. Ever see the movie or read the book A Bright Shining Lie..it's about one man's fight in Vietnam to change the way we fought that war. To stop focusing on conquering ideologies, but to conquer people's hunger, quality of life and work towards improving upon that. People don't give a shit a shit they can vote if their kids are starving, or dying from diseases that we in the states buy over the counter meds to cure while we still go to our jobs. |
I'm selling flu shots for $500 a pop.

Back in the 80's there was a song by Sting that said..."I hope the Russians love their children too."
It was in response to our fears that they would start a nuclear war. Take a look at India. With bringing jobs to that country and giving the younger generation a chance to become a consumer generation no longer focusing on pleasing their parents or their religions..but to live a life that makes them comfortable. The song now shoudl be...I hope their kids lover their playstations too. Give these people Levis, McDonald's, the internet, video games and within a few generations you'll have a group of people no longer concerned about blowing shit up in the real life..only doing it multi-player with x-box online. |

Seeing some other nation and thinking "their way doesn't work" is no reason to go in and force them to live the way you do. For all you know, another 20 years from now and they could form their nation into a way that your own should be trying to be... you just never know. |
