They've been puppets used to attack Kerry since those days, but they lose their credibility in 1972. It's amazing to me that people seem to forget Vietnam. How does anyone think that those veterans who came back and told everyone the truth were WRONG? Maybe if you're George Bush or Richard Nixon they were, but to the rest of the country they were heros who helped stop a war no one wanted. This is what I'm talking about. Let me guess, you weren't alive when this happened, were you? You have no clue what you're talking about. He was a part of a group of soldiers who came back and helped the people realize how bad the war was, and how badly it needed to be stopped. They were right, and it worked.

Would you call troops who came back injured from Iraq and did the same thing traitors? Many of them had lost limbs and were paralyzed, many of them lost friends and brothers. Please don't run away from this question, would you call hundreds of Iraq veterans doing the same thing today traitors?

you do know the atrocities kerry spoke of in that hearing were examples of the testimonies given by over 200 american soldiers? the point people miss today is the point Kerry made then: they were following orders.

My cousin was spit on and called baby killer when he came home because of the things that Kerry and others like him said. Sorry, it sounds like everybody missed his point.

Although I am working right now I wont run away. I have close family that was in that war, as well as Korea and WWII. My father served and I served as well. I do have a little insight what the American soldier, Marine and Sailor feel about words like that. I too have friends who didnt come back home in one piece after the first gulf war.

I agree. In my book and many of friends believe that its one thing to protest and another to condem your country men. Every American, including Kerry, has the right to free speech, protest and say the war is wrong. I will never dispute that, I will defend that ideal at any cost, even for Kerry. He betrayed many verterans when he spoke against Soldiers, Marines, Arimen, and Sailors. It hurts to hear words like that. Words like Kerry and others tell disabled vets that they diserved it. I visted 2 veterans hospitals in my life. And both had these words, " The price of freedom is evident here"
