make sure you provide dates and times

ips and such

my server just sent me an email and told me that he blocked that ip because of too much failed attempts. didn't even know that he can do that. :)

they told me to send an email - we'll see.

Brute Force Detection sends those emails. I get like 10 a day. Just forget about it and move on, they are automatically blocked by the firewall. If everything is installed correctly...

it was my first - it scared me... :(

dont stress out
i had a server who was getting like 200 tiimes a day, bad ip range i guess ;)
a good IDS and you are ok ;)
