Passing Referrering URL to PHP ... To swap out Adult.com affiliate code.

I want to pass the referrering URL to PHP and then have the phpBB content management system swap out all Adult.com affiliate code based on the referrering URL.

Basically, I want swap my Adult.com affiliate code with another Adult.com affiliate code if the referred visitor is from another Adult.com site.

Anyone have a link or code or phpBB Mod or something that gets close to doing this?

SexEducation.com will NEVER be a "porn" site.
Sorry ...

Just a place of adult discussion with adult graphics.

Okay ...
I deleted my "index.htm" and put the same thing back as "index.php"...

so that's a start to solving this issue.

i am guessing you had half a brain at a time, you got the domain. why don;t you develop the site? i see you are trying to sell the domain. would be more value to develop the site and sell it once you create a community out of it

There have been several communities created on it over the years. At one time it was beggining to make a grand a month.

However, laws have changed - indeed the interent has changed, and I too have learned some "risk management" issues right here on GFY.

In order to be acceptable to ALL COMMUNITIES and still discuss the most controversial subjects that exist like "Audition Rape", "Female Genital Mutilation" and other peversions - the site MUST BE RATED ADULT ONLY - and MUST CONTAIN ONLY 2257 compliant graphics - and must be hosted in the USA.

Experience - with risk management.

It will still be a very good site one day as I build it part time.
I will just have to be more creative in it's implementation.

Yes - I agree.
If SexEducation.com is a place of research and discussion and it has social value - then not only does fair use apply but other free speech rights as well.

And that would be in a perfect world.

I don't have the power of KRL or Legendary Lars ...
to enforce those free speech issues.

So I will do the best I can while minimizing the risk of another attack or shut down.

Follow?

I'm not afraid to make money.
My site will make money again.

But this time it CAN NOT be shut down.

How much effort does it take to get an ISP to pull public domain material using unsubstantiated legal threats? Distressingly little, according to a recent study by Dutch group Bits of Freedom.

Bits of Freedom signed up with 10 Dutch ISPs and used the websites to host text by Dutch author Multatuli, dating from 1871. Multatuli died in 1887 and his works are now in the public domain. A notice to that effect was attached to the published content.

The organisation then posed as the copyright holders of the work. A "legal representative" of the fake E.D. Dekkers society sent a "complaint" demanding that "copyright infringing" content be pulled forthwith to the 10 ISPs. The complaint - sent via a Hotmail account - cited notice and takedown provisions in the recent European E-commerce Directive.

Under the Directive, ISPs risk liability for hosting apparently illegal content on behalf on their customers. Once they are notified, they are obliged to render content inaccessible. Bits of Freedom wondered what would happen if complaints lacked legal validity. Its research is alarming for anyone concerned about online freedom of speech.

Seven of the ten providers (ISPs Tiscali, Wanadoo, Demon Internet and Planet Internet; hosting firms Yourhosting, iFast and Active24) pulled the content without either scrutinising the "offending" website or demonstrating a basic understanding of copyright law. In three cases the content was pulled within 24 hours - giving insufficient opportunity to question the basis of the complaint. The worst performer was iFast - which forwarded the personal details of its customer to the fake complainant, despite receiving no request to do so. Only XS4ALL, UPC and Freeler allowed the perfectly legal material to remain online.

Dolla ...
I've never been afraid to speak the truth.

SexEducation.com requires POWER to fully and properly develop, especially in consideration of the current administrations "faith based" initiatives even though - against the entire world.

The purpose of the concept of "fair use" is when the content can not be purchased, when permission can not be obtained, where permission is denied - YET the betterment of mankind is somehow achieved - then fair use can be used to explore that "science".

That's in a perfect world.

But I've learned risk managment right here on GFY and deleted all my graphics to start over after a year of desensitizing my primary suppliers to the big mouths which still follow me - from board to board - because they are still angry that even NOW ...

I say - "no aroused genitals or reproductive fluids on any directly accessed domain name."

But that's how they make their money and that's why they have asked me to "stay below the radar". Sorry - but their fantasy world of disrespecting the rights of children to reasonable access to the information age is quickly coming to an end.
