WTF is this noise?
for the last 3 or 4 hours I have been hearing this weird beep every few minutes. It doesn't seem to be like every 5 or 10 minutes, but it varies.
It isn't a smoke detector, it almost sounds like like the sound you get when you send a message via ICQ or AIM. I thought it was down in my den, but when I go there it stops. It is driving me nuts!!!!! |
it's either a smoke or carbon monixide detector. they make a very funky annoying sound when the battery is low

Cell phone ?

Cordless phone needs to be recharged? CO detector sounds reasonable, if you have one. Turn off your PC's and then one at a time turn off your other electronic devices and maybe you can track it that way.

I get that beeping noise all the time, when people log onto icq... it must be, because I deleted the wav files.

It will still beep without the battery. I shit you not. I had the same problem. These were hardwired 110 and also had 9 volt battery. Well when the battterygets low it started it. So I unplugged it, took the battery out and it still fucking kept beeping every 5 or 10 mins real low. It sorta freaked me out, I threw it o ut in the yard till the next day. I guess they must have some sort of capacitor that holds some voltage for a while. |
