mouse-over important to sales?

Hi!

Do you think hiding your referal code with mouse-over will increase clickthroughs and generate more sales? Do you think a surfer feels more confident when clicking such a link?

seeric 10-13-2004 04:58 PM

most arent smart enough to know

crockett 10-13-2004 05:03 PM

I just use numbers instead of a name for my ID's

escoman 10-13-2004 05:18 PM

Are there many of you who use mouse-over ?

pornguy 10-13-2004 05:24 PM

I think for the most part it is a waste of time.

xclusive 10-13-2004 05:26 PM

It's a waste of time for the average surfer but for webmasters it might work...

hova 10-13-2004 05:27 PM

It takes little to no time and I dont think it costs any sales, but I dont think it will make you more sales

escoman 10-13-2004 05:34 PM

Maybe thatīs true, but donīt you think this link would seem suspicious to the surfer if he sees it?

a common ccbill link.

wouldnīt it be more likely for him to click on a link that goes to http://www.site.com ?

from my experience you will get more clicks but the sales will stay the same :)

escoman 10-13-2004 05:43 PM

Okay, thatīs interesting. You got extra clicks. Maybe those extra clicks led to a few sales. Itīs hard to tell, but I think itīs worth spending some time and add mouse-over.
