mouse-over important to sales?
 

Hi!

Do you think hiding your referal code with mouse-over will increase clickthroughs and generate more sales? Do you think a surfer feels more confident when clicking such a link?

most arent smart enough to know

I just use numbers instead of a name for my ID's

Are there many of you who use mouse-over ?

I think for the most part it is a waste of time.

It's a waste of time for the average surfer but for webmasters it might work...

It takes little to no time and I dont think it costs any sales, but I dont think it will make you more sales

Maybe that´s true, but don´t you think this link would seem suspicious to the surfer if he sees it?

wouldn´t it be more likely for him to click on a link that goes to http://www.site.com ?

from my experience you will get more clicks but the sales will stay the same :)

Okay, that´s interesting. You got extra clicks. Maybe those extra clicks led to a few sales. It´s hard to tell, but I think it´s worth spending some time and add mouse-over.
