I was thinking paysites earlier, then said why not a chat where no sponsors pay for space but we review, chat, discuss, whatever about programs.

Sorry dude but that one won't work, no one is going to pay to post on a board that isn't established big time. If you owned say, this board, you could make it member based and charge a monthly fee.

2nd big idea knocked down today on the board. I still like the chat idea. but must be the only one here.
let me think of another idea , got to do something to make money, reading gfy all day won't pay the bills at home.

Even a nominal $5 a year charge would help weed out a lot of people.

Rich what if the board did spot tests on program conversions, counting hits and stuff like that, so it would be an honest discussion place not say what advertisers want to hear?

It would weed some out, but that may not always mean a good thing.

i couldnt see why $5 a year would be hard to pay if you were an adult webmaster. It would get rid of surfers.

I was thinking about the same thing but more like have people pay for a sig & an advatar by the month but you would have to have a board as big as gfy to do it!

If your board has substance, a small yearly fee as psyko514 suggested wouldn't be a bad idea. It would definitely weed out a lot of the surfers and all around useless people, but don't try to charge very much until you're well established. The idea of paying PER POST as your title suggested, would not work at all. You want people posting as often as possible, not trying to limit their posts.

Review, critic, test programs, stats whatever and be unbiased. Still like the idea myself.

but why hot, if we run test with sponsors and report real stats, like numbers of hits sent how many counted.

that sort of thing and not have sponsors pay for ads, it'll be an honest test site with a forum.

That must be worth a few bucks a year for webmasters to see the facts.
