Are you giving away your bandwidth?
 

After getting mod_rewrite all set up on my server here last night, and feeling fairly safe and secure, I opened up and checked my server error logs this morning...
and low and behold, you should see the list of fuckin' hotlinkers, freeloaders, and cheaters. Let's just say it's a long one.
If any of you guys are running a site without protection, you might as well have a big sign up saying...

"FREE CONTENT & BANDWIDTH HERE... COME GET SOME!"

Just thought I would share my experience, because I am still relatively new to this biz, and if I was getting hotlinked off of the few gallerys I have out there... someone that's been posting for a long time without protection has probably double the bandwidth going out that needs to be.
