Webmaster Fraud ...Solutions?
I was coding my own anti-webmaster-fraud program/scripts last night and it clicked that maybe I was wasting my time and there is a product already out there...
Is there? Do any more well known scripts (mpa, nats) have inbuitl features that combat this evergrowing problem? If not... I've got a working solution right here... :) |

The company I worked for started asking for a copy of the webmasters' passport.
Personally wouldn't have a problem with sending my copy to a sponsor. |
first of all you should block all proxy ports from entering your site :)
|
i decided to give other sponsors' a shot to see what methods (if any) they had in place to stop this ... needless to say every sponsor(4) bar 1 failed.
Failed: Topbucks Silvercash TCG Passed: ARS Wonder if the 3 that failed will send me a christmas card too? |
In mainstream there is automated phone verification.
Also Verisign has a great anti-fraud service, or so I hear. |

Glad to hear that I am about to start pushing ars hard in the coming weeks...

Have them write a paragraph to you about why they should be webmaster. If they can't spell, then you may have trouble.
|
I hunt them down and pay them a visit with my trusty cricket bat.
