Anyone ever take a gun on an airplane
And I don't mean that in some dumbass kind of question, I mean has anyone ever transported a gun in their checked baggage? It is legal as long as it's unloaded and you declare it, but I am just wondering if they give you a shitload of hassle for it or what. I don't have any guns in Hawaii, but I am thinking of getting one, but I am wondering what kind of shit I'll have to go through to take it to the mainland.

Unload it, dont bring shells, they wont bug u. Someone along the line will probably assume you have shells in your asshole and are going to be a ninja, go into the cargo dept, and get your gun so you can fly it up their butt.

I've seen guys at airports with their gun cases before (coming home from hunting trips out west). Your other option would be Fed-Ex. They have a little more lee-way than UPS when it comes to shipping items like that. The best thing to do, is not ask GFY, but call the airline's or the shipping company and ask them directly. GFY's answer will be, walk on to the plane carrying it in plain site declairing your alliance to Allah or some crazy shit like that. |

On a serious note - why do you need a gun?

I've done it 5 or 6 times, both in official and an un-official capacity. As long as you declare it (asuming your carrier even allows it), it is unloaded, no ammo whatsoever, you should be ok. Call your carrier before you even bother trying though, they may not allow it at all.

1. When I get bored I can go shoot, that's fun 2. It's my right to have one. |
