unix quick question
ho do i see what is the size of an entire folder?
|
it sounds like you need a managed host..
du -s dirname |
To make sure that the output is in kilobytes:
du -ks dirname For megabytes type: du -ms dirname |
du -h folder works, too. -h is for "human readable"
|
du -h will list all file sizes in that dir, then at the end give you total of the original... kind of messy if you just want the total size.
