Why is a drivers license or other government ID not good enough to vote?
 

What is the point of making everyone register to vote even though we already have identification that should be plenty?

that would be too easy

the government enjoys wasting time and money...

It's just a way to keep things straight so that they can tell that the amount of people that registered and make sure that there aren't more votes than there is registered voters...

With just a drivers license, you could vote and vote again. Checking you off the list where you are registered DOES help stop fraud. And some times catch it. Actually you sign to vote.

It could all be done with computers now, but....

i bet in the next 15 years they'll integrate it all into a national database. have you swipe a card, or possibly a retina/thumb print.

The government wants to make sure that the numbers of registered people are the same numbers of actual voters.

Illegal aliens can easily get fake drivers' license.
