Question For Domain Collectors
 

Do you ever find yourself buying good moneymaking adult domain names that you don't necessarily feel comfortable with because of the niche or subject they represent and how do you justify it in your mind if you do?

Hell yes.

We have over 500 domains just sitting at various registrars and less than 10% of them are ever going to get used.

Its annoying though because we have some sweet ones just sitting there collecting dust.

I hear you on that. I have one for the twinks niche, I'm debating whether to let go of or renew again.

Nothing wrong with it, but some of the images related to it and with some traffic sponsors don't always look 18, even though they are.

I would agree with you on randyblue.com they do seem to convert a lot of twink traffic adequately :)

You should als check out some of Lukes sites over at http://www.hunkmoney.com if you have twink traffic to they do really well for us :)

well its like female teen sites, I personally do not push girls who look under age or boys who look underage.

randy blue doesnt try to attract the people looking for the underage look but yet has a great way of using tons of different guys so the conversions are good.

I dont promote non exclusive sites, waste of time fucks over the surfer and slowly fucks over this industry.

Plus why promote a non exclusive you can build one for under 1k

I've only owned a small handful of premium adult domains. Two of which were;

HotLesbians.com - I love lesbians
HotLatinas.com - I love latinas

So, as you can see - No major conflict, as of yet. I suppose this is mainly due to contacting only those of which who own domains that 'come to mind' / 'come to interest'. In niches I myself am comfortable with. For some odd reason, a variety of gay/mature/scat domains do not come to mind, when scratching my brain for prospective acquisitions. However -- If one day, I get a random email, stating they're selling "Oldpussy .com" or "Gayfuck.com", regardless of my feelings/interest in the niche. I will of course pursue such an acquisition.

No such moral dilemma will allow me to bypass a profitable domain investment. Let alone pety "personal" discomfort. I'll learn to live with it. Money is still green. :glugglug

I own a particularly unsavory domain and I am not quite sure what to do with it. The name needs to be out of the public domain i know that, hence the reason for purchasing it, to keep it safe until a decision is made.

The rest are pure business decisions and will be treated as such.

There's only one domain I ever reg'd that I didn't feel comfortable with. At the time, I didn't think anything of it. I only saw it as having potential to be a money-maker.

Shortly thereafter the crackdown began on words such as young, lolita, etc. I ended up dropping the domain the following year.

If the domain is quality, regardless of the subject matter, I'm interested :thumbsup

I've never had any qualms over a domain because if I did i wouldn't buy it in the first place...
