Locked Paypal account question

Why does Paypal do this?...

I won't get into the details but awhile back Paypal reversed a transaction on me refunded a customer.

(This gave me a negative balance and I tried fighting it because I had proof of delivery on the item I shipped and such.)

Paypal never answered my questions and locked my account.

Instead of having to deal with two problems (reversing the reversal and having a locked account) I told them to allow me to transfer the negative balance from my checking account straight to my Paypal account so that I could be unlocked.

They told me that I couldn't do this and to send them a money order. On top of that, they said that when they receive the money order there is still a chance that they won't unlock my account. WTF is up with that?

Anyone ever run into anything like this?

Going to have to. They went against their TOS and everything. Don't believe everything Paypal says.

They did it because they can. They dont want to have anything to do with adult.

They will now sit on any money in that account for some time, and then finally send you a check. When we got our check it was for 50% of what we had int he account.

Thank god we did not leave mush in there.

And I would like to sugguest that you go to www.paypalsucks.com
and read.

No, I fought my case because I sent an item to someone and it had delivery confirmation and everything. The person claimed they never got it and never even returned emails or phone calls. I told Paypal about it but the person who I sent the product to had charged back PP.

Paypal told me that even though I had the tracking info, the cc companies have the power to still chargeback.

They also told me that they would fight my case but it takes 3-4 months for the credit card companies to view each case. It has been almost a year and Paypal won't answer any of my questions.

There's an class action lawsuit against Paypal right now dealing with these same issues regarding improper handling of refunds and holds. I'll try to find some info on it.

i had a locked up account, 180 days later, yesterday i got a letter, i can refund all my money to my bank account.

thats the only thing i can do 180 days later, nothing more.

paypal has always been good to me but since ebay they piss me off and I don't keep much in the account only what I need for small purchaes here and there...

It's true I know about 10 people well that had this happen.

In a couple cases they couldn't pay for hosting on time from it.

It sucks that's for sure.
