So, Finally saw Shaun Of The Dead
It was okay. There were some moments that really cracked me up but think it suffered a little bit from a year's worth of hype from my friends. It has a lot in common feeling wise with the UK tv show Spaced which isn't that much of a suprise since they are all in it.
So I guess I give it 3 out of 4 stars just for being different but not as laugh a minute as I thought it would be. The record scene was as good as my friends suggested though and the use of queen during the one scene towards the end was classic. |
That's too bad- I thought it was awesome- but then again, no one hyped it to me. :thumbsup

i thought it was great. perfect mix of horror/cpmedy and great scenes fo gore/special efx...
|
many guys here liked it very much, but I couldn't laugh that often...

I thought Shaun of the Dead was a great movie. I didn't hear that much hype beforehand, though.

last year when it came out in London my friends went to a special showing with the director and wouldn't shut up about it for atleast a month.
It wasn't bad and I loved the very British feel of it but just wasn't AS funny as I had been led to belive but there were moments that were good. I would still see if over 99.9 percent of hollywood rubbish anyway. |
okay well I am just watching the dvd extras at the moment..the funking scene for the airllines is hilarious..give it that
|
Might get it tomorrow...

Don't believe the hype..
It's just oooook... *some* parts were funny. Nothing was actually hilarious.. |
agreed.. it was funny, but not something I'd watch over and over.. (llike office space)
