It feels like it was 1500 years ago now but I have tried AOL at one point.

Calling them was next to impossible. The hold time was obscene.

It was dialup. And busy signals was the name of the game.

What really did it for me was when they tried to bill me some $300 for some bullshit charge. They're still waiting for the money.

They make signup so easy, just a few clicks and a credit card and you in.

but....

Try and cancel!!!! You have to send them notice IN WRITING! And if you don't do it correctly, you continue to get billed! Took my wife two times to get it right. All in all, she paid for AOL for 2 extra months after deciding to quit.
