Any suggestions on registrars that don't think they're the kings of teh interweb?

Don't mind paying more for renewals, however don't want to pay too much for transfers

I have used stargate.com for a couple of years now and have had no problems whatsoever, have over 100+ adult names with them. I setup a bulk account that lets me register new domains for $7.75 each, transfers are $6.95. Might want to check them out.

they just want you to verify your info is correct. Pay the extra to hide it.

Watch out for registerfly and enom both are known for stealing domains.

I would stay with godaddy and get the identity protection, still less then most.

yeah and if all your info was correct, then you don't need to do anything. You should be fine. If it is not and they find out, they will take your domain..... correct me if i'm wrong please!

how so? i started switching my shit to them after dotster pissed me off by fucking up my renewal of a domain, then they redirected traffic

what did they fuck up? did you manage to get your domain back?

took like a day to get the domain back up and running. had to renew the domain again, for some reason they didn't process the renewal a few weeks earlier and i didn't get emails after i first renewed saying it was about to expire. it was weird

GoDaddy is getting out of there hand with bullshit like this. I have seen so many complaints the past year it isn't even funny. Good luck getting your shit away from them.

People register their domains through them, then want to change hosting in this case to us several times.

These companies will not let them change the name servers or transfer domains.

Basically going against icann, so I emailed icann and they said I would have to take them to court and send the judgment to them to get it transfered away.

Trust me, finding the right domain company is very important. I have seen this too many times unfortunately.

I had the exact same thing happen. Go with namecheap, they will never tough your domains, are reliable, cheap, etc etc.
