Anyone here drive a Prius?

I'm looking into getting one... still trying to decide though. If you already own one, please share your thoughts.

Gene, I think you need something sportier. Are japanese cars cheaper in the Phillapines?

Actually, they're about the same price as in the US because of all the taxes here. However, there are some GREAT deals for SUV's (Mitsubishi Pajero... rebrand of the Mitsubishi Montero) that are 'previously owned' in Japan.

I'm interested in the Prius because of its fuel efficiency and ecologically friendly operation.

I bought a '03 Prius just last week.

I gotta say, it's one of the best cars I've ever driven. It handles very well, and it's incredibly quiet. Most of the time, you'll have to look over at the digital mph readings to see how fast you're going because the engine is so quiet.

So far, I'm averaging around 48 mpg, which is pretty bad compared to other Prius owners (I have a lead foot).

The acceleration is decent, it can manage the highway just like any other car.'

It's a great car if you want to save on the increasing gas prices that are underway.

I test drove one awhile back and they are nice cars but seemed a little cramped to me. But it handled well...

The '03 Prius are a bit small, but the '04 Prius has an improved interior spacing.
