If you wanted to make $500 a day in this business, how would you go about doing it?

Yeah, maybe 500/day is a bit high, if you donn't know how to. Starting off with a lower goal, would be the best. Lie Juicy said, 100/day is cool, and then build on that.
100/day is about three 35$ signups a day, so focus on that and learn, learn, and learn some more.

my advice for what its worth is choose one project and dont give up on it, but NEVER put all your eggs in one basket in this biz..

I do a $100/day now but I buy more traffic and try harder and it doesnt happen. Its just wasted.
its been like that for over a year, i never figure out how to break through beyond $100-200/day.
I have plenty of cash to spend on designers, traffic, whatever. but its like I spend a certain amount and do ok, but when I spend more I lose money.

this biz is about constinatly learning and improving.

theres already some good advice in this thread, like setting a lower goal of $100 a day and moving up from that. :)

I dont think Id be able to make $500 from starting a tgp and trading. I know lots of people make more than that but theyre pros and Im not good with trading. I dont like trading anyways.
Dealing with cheating traders, and worrying about how productive my traffic is, etc. That never did it for me.

I've learned that you really need to stick with one element, master it, then replicate. Sometimes it's really hard to stick with it because the results are less than satisfactory, but if you stick with it everything will pay off eventually.

August I had a great month, then last month was good but not as good as August. It played with my head quite a bit. Now this month I'm on track to make a new record. Stick with it!

I tried 2 of them and submitted them everywhere, and I got nothing. The traffic was miniscule and I got $0 in sales.
I didnt try anymore because it seemed like a waste of effort.

never give up easily, if it doesnt work keep trying. even with the free site

Yeh, they work, but you need to do them every day. I've been submitting pretty much daily for the past 7 months, it's worth the time it takes.

Do you mean $500 gross or $500 net? People on this board almost always talking gross but if you meant gross then just go ahead spend $500 to make easy $500 :winkwink: it's not too hard to net $500 either thou just will require some work and a lot of salesmanship and some brains :)

If you just want to make $300 a day, do the following:

Save up about $1k.

Buy as much cheap (but not too cheap) content you can get and make a deal with a good hosting company for some cheap hosting with as much alotted bandwidth and cheap per gig cost as possible.

build a free site a day, with two 15-16 thumb galleries.

turn the free site into an AVS site, submit it to AVS sites, free links lists and submit the two galleries to at least 100 TGP's.

do this everyday, for 6 months.

after that, you might be making $300 a day.

I've run around trying everything and buying traffic from all the big ones, but I just break even.
I've hired gallery builders and submitters too and I've lost money on that.
If I knew of a system that worked I'd work it, but everything I try is a dead end.

The best traffic you are going to ever be able to buy is TGP click traffic, so why not do a TGP?

Since you know how to make $100 a day. Do exactly that 4 more times. Copy your free site, change the names, keep the basic template and keep moving forward... 4 more times.

In the mean time, keep working your $100 site and building your trades.

Stop hiring out and start doing more yourself. You need to learn what you're doing, master it and create a well oiled system. My free site submission list took me months and months to build, it's pretty decent now, never could have paid someone for it.

There is no such thing as cloaking. Don't make me get Vinny and the boys to make sure you got that :winkwink:

No one has said this so I will, concentrate on the quality of what you are doing.

That does not mean working harder it means working smarter.

Make sure what you are showing the surfer will hook him, it gets them horny, asking for more and paying to get more.

Too many, as you can see by this thread, think it's a numbers game. It was, now the numbers are overwhelming. So concentrate on your few knives you have being the sharpest ones in the box, rather than filling the box with more dull ones.

Improve what you have rather than add more to it.

Unfortunately what I do to make $100 isnt scalable, because theres a limited amount of traffic and it seems like everyone else has their thumb into the same pie I use.

At one point I was doing great (close to $200/day), then out of nowhere a big sponsor started buying the same traffic that I was going for and everything just died. Im living off of rebills now and averaging $100/day.

So I mean, I try, im not lazy, I try to come up with systems, but now when I spend money its kind of scattered. Like im throwing a bunch of shit against the wall to see what sticks, and nothing really sticks to the point of making it profitable and doing over and over.

Just basic I guess, dreamweaver, photoshop, premiere. Have a reliable server, a video camera but i dont like the legalities of shooting content though, and some cash to buy plenty of traffic and content.

exactly! to make $500 a day you have to put in a few weeks of 21 hour days to get there by yourself. Don't spend money on things that you should learn..

I make some of the most basic looking galleries out there and some people are amazed that I get them listed but I do and they sell very well.. why? cause they look clean and yet amateur. I give them a banner, a text link, and 14-16 tease pictures to get them worked up then tell them to "Click here to see more for free"

Learn how to generate and trade traffic! it's the most important thing you'll ever learn in free sites. and if you are making TGPs learn how to lead the surfer to the sponsor or back to your TGP or site.

that doesn't exactly work in practice like it does in theory

i'd have to fuck up a LOT of things to go down to that level
