Specifically, in the niche of NonNude/Solo girl.

So far, I've heard 70's on day #1. IMO that's pretty damn good.

hm i highly doubt...I've seen stats of some of the largest programs. And not a single site of these programs came even close to that number of joins in 24 hour period.
VERY few really large programs are doing 5k joins/day

5k for an unknown, solo girl-next-door site is complete bullshit.

4-6k joins/day for the big boys...seen the numbers myself.......

The first day I activated my members area I got about 256 signups in 12 hours. This was in 1997 and my site had been up for about 1 month as a free webcam site while I was working on getting the members area ready.

this was with no staff or web experts and no money spent advertising.

Hypothetically speaking...

Let's say you're a mailer you can send out ALOT of mails everyday, unfiltered.

Let's say you can bring in 200 joins a day, by yourself.

Also, you have 10 whale accounts in your affiliate program that can bring in 100 joins a day. That's 1,000 joins right there, alone.

You also have a shitload of other affiliates that can bring in on avg 5-50 signups per day.

Yea, I believe 5,000 is possible.

how long were making sites before putting up the members area?

the only place I was able to find, Ibill .. I had a custom script written for me by a guy who charged me like 1500$ for it, it was a simple script that added passwords to the password file and was needed to use ibill back then. I got ripped off big time back then, did not know how to register a domain name or anything, company who did it for me charged me 500$ for my domain name.

what I enjoy knowing now is those people who thought they was the shit and ripped me off back then are now out of business. People in this business have a bad habit of talking like they really know things and they are the shit when they dont know anything and cant even pay their rent and get by on just trying to rip off others.

I did not make sites, I had my site, as in only one (1), heck I didnt even have pictures in it, videos or anything else, I had my webcam and no chat, people emailed me requests and such, after a couple of months I figured out IRC and posted on my site for people to get MIRC to chat with me and got a chat room.

I originally had my site on the free web space given to me by my ISP, the traffic was so high they shut me down and told me to get a business account for like 40$ a month, then they got my domain name for me and then again they told me I would have to move because they couldnt host my type of site BUT he knew a guy who ran adult sites who could help me out ... long story short, after a few months I had a T1 put in my house and bought a dual pentium pro 200 for about $5000 and hosted my site from my house.

... yes, same here, the guy that sold me my first domain charged me $250 and another $300 for a Vhost and 10MB bandwith per day. only took me 2 weeks to find out that he had a managed server at pair.com ... their buiz died back in 98'

I can do 150 signups in a day then for about 3-4 days after about 70-100 a day .. not going to tell you how tho :)

things have changed allot from back then.
There used to be some really really good free sites out there with chat rooms and msg boards, one of them - the owner still posts here, 5 i's , He was responsible for ALLOT of my memberships.

now days those sites are gone and the so called free ones are owned by pay site owners who just push their own programs, the problem is they never get the home feeling that places like 5i's had and the following they had. Someone could post on their board that I was on webcam and poof, hundreds of people would zip over, I also chatted on places like cuseeme, VDOphone and so on. Word of mouth back then was a great way to get found.

actualy its not, its not that hard and most people can do it, you just have to be smart on how you do it and not over do it or it will cease to work as good.

if you think its unrealistic then you will never achieve it.

remember I am not talking about any programs here, this is what I do for my site only, I do not belong to any programs. All my attention is focused on my site, a site about me featuring me and I know how I want to market me and I know where to market me at for the best results. How do I know, I talk to my customers in my chat room and they are more then happy to tell me where they found my link and what made them visit my site and what made them join.

I believe what you are saying is true.. This biz can make anyone a lot more then most could believe if you and all the people you work with are motivated, smart about how you are marketing your product and never put limits on what you think is possible.

I've seen a ugly fat girl make more then a lot of barely 18 hot chicks cause she knew how to get a fan base when she was pretty and not fat :1orglaugh
