Who else has eaten sushi TODAY?

I just had sushi for lunch. Ate solo because my lady is out of town.

It is SO delicious. Definitely worth $109 and some change. I had it for lunch yesterday too. I'm pretty much addicted.

Anyone else had sushi today?

sh33p 10-09-2004 03:05 PM

Does pussy count?

Sly 10-09-2004 03:05 PM

I have yet to try sushi. :(

AlienQ - BANNED FOR LIFE 10-09-2004 03:05 PM

Went for Sushi last night for dinner;):glugglug

Some Asahi to.

Steen2 10-09-2004 03:05 PM

I have.

But damn, $109? We spent $30 for three people! Where you eating? Rodeo drive?

Alex 10-09-2004 03:06 PM

Ate last night.

But $109, either you eat at a reall expensive place or a lot.

I pay on average $6-$9 a roll when i go out to a nice place.

But when its just me, there is a place on Ventura here in Cali thats very cheap, and not bad quality either

baddog 10-09-2004 03:06 PM

I prefer my food cooked

The Rawbar in Chico is very nice. And I eat a TON of food every time I go. I have to make myself stop.

doober 10-09-2004 03:08 PM

I love sushi, it tottaly kicks ass, but you shouldnt eat it everyday man.

The mercury in it isnt very good for you, altho if you eat once twice a week you should be fine but I wouldnt reommend eating it daily.

on that note im craving sushi and sapporro right now

:(

Cost me around $15 to make this lot myself. A while back though, not today :)
Better than at any sushi I've received in a restaurant.

Monique Niccole 10-09-2004 03:11 PM

Dammit...I've been craving sushi all week! My BF is going for sushi later at a "boy's night out", so it looks like I'm going to a strip club with my friends. :Graucho

Donny 10-09-2004 03:12 PM

Many of you have read my ramblings about my little punk-ass meth-abusing brother...

I recently rescued him from Las Vegas, where he was shooting meth into his arms. I've been taking him everywhere with me trying to show him what life COULD be like if he straightened up.

Just a few weeks ago my girl and I took him to sushi. My brother is a tall skinny fuck that can PACK AWAY the food. I ordered $250 worth of sushi. He tried a few pieces and said, "You actually PAY for this?".

I can't stand seeing food go to waste, especially sushi. He stopped eating. But when we left there was not a single bite wasted.

I was SO FUCKING STUFFED!!

zazzouche 10-09-2004 03:13 PM

I had it last night , actually i consider myself a sushiholic if that exists
:1orglaugh

AlienQ - BANNED FOR LIFE 10-09-2004 03:13 PM

Yep. For one.

But I'm a good tipper, and the tip is included in that amount.

What exactly do you mean when you say, "eaten sushi?"

If you mean what I think you mean, then YES!

If you mean something else, then NO!

The good places are expensive. If you've never tried sushi, try it at a nice place first. The bad one's will oftentimes ruin it for you.

I am surrunded by people like that and it drives me nuts.

I would rather throw food away than harm myself with overeating.

loverboy 10-09-2004 03:23 PM

kinda expensive for a solo meal don't you think?

i bet its one delicious and uniqui sushi :Graucho

angelsofporn 10-09-2004 03:23 PM

I spend about 2k a month on sushi....one of those things you just have to do

It's probably from our mother's telling us to clear our plates. It honestly bothers me to see food left behind.

Which is one of the big reasons that I am overweight...

One of the best places is just a few steps away from here. I'm not sure if I want to try it.

Neh I am a vegetarian
I had some nice spaghetti with tofu! :winkwink:

The Heron 10-09-2004 03:35 PM

Tried it once in ny, can't say that I understand the appeal? I would eat it if I had to, but it is not something I will ever order again willingly.

I sometimes wish I could be a vegetarian. I bet I'd be a lot lighter.

But animals are just so damn delicious.

Sushi = rice dish
You can have sushi without the raw fish, have veggies inside.
Sashimi = raw fish. :)

Yeah I heard there are vegatarian sushi's. The Japanese waiters just dont seem able to tell me which ones are vegatarian so I end up chewing a carrot.
Any tips?:)

California rolls usually don't have meat in them unless they have the fake crab stuff. Good sushi is made when you order it - just order whatever rolls you like minus the meat :)

I guess it depends on what you are "eating" when you are "overeating!" :Graucho

I don't mind putting myself in "harms way" to overeat certain things . . . if you know what I mean.

LOL. Seriously? I can find seaweed near the artic circle in a country with less than 6 mil people, but not in the states (regardless of the small-ass county you live in)
Bizarre..

If my girl loved it as much as I do I'd probably spend about that much on it too. She loves sushi, don't get me wrong. But she can't eat the same thing as often as I can. She has to have more variety than me. We only spend around $500 per month on it.

Easton 10-09-2004 09:07 PM

nope, i had shrimp and margaritas for dinner

then came home and relaxed in the backyard grotto with some imported beers
