Does anyone have the Dance Revolution game?

I was looking at that as a way to get some exercise and not be bored but there seems to be quite an array of pads and games.

Much of a difference between the gaming platforms? I think we have most of the systems here, but the one I have fastest access to is the PS2...I think...I need to look :winkwink:

Thanks!

Don't flip me off! Now that I know you have insurance, expect sore toes at the next convention.

just get Stepmania (stepmania.com i believe, or google it) - you can download all the DDR games into it for free and loads more and just plug your dance mat in via USB to your pc and play. :)

Sly 10-09-2004 02:10 PM

I'm plenty nice to you! Didn't I give you a special treat last week?

What mat do you have? Are the expensive ones worth it or would it be find to try it with a cheapie?

I was thinking about this a while back too, didn't know they had PC versions though (I don't have a video game box). DDR gives a great workout in the arcade, but I'm so inept that I only want to play when I've got a 5 year old with me to compete against, so anyone witnessing it will think that I'm being inept to give 'em a chance. :-)

I have stepmania and a pad, was thinking about getting the DDR machine for a LANparty shop my partner owned but did not find one that we felt was worth the price. Get a 3rd mix or the latest if you get the machine and advertise that you have it, you will get people from all over traveling to want to play it, people are just that crazy about it.

goodluck to you! in fiarness, dance revolution could be a good excercise? what you think? :thumbsup

sharpx9 10-11-2004 03:21 AM

hell naw!..

I say go with the mid range pad because it wil last longer than the cheap one but when you need to replace it you wont feel the sting of the high priced ones...

How gay do you have to be to have DDR (only applies to guys)?

... If you're a fat monstrosity, then I can understand.

Well, if you're doing it in your own home, no one needs to know.......... :winkwink:

I don't know but it looks like fun! I already have the game system, so for $100 I figure I can try it out and see how it goes :)

I'm middle aged, average shape, and can use some gimmickry to keep me exercising regularly. Combining music and computer games with exercise is likelier to work for me than traditional exercises. Maybe it's a psychological weakness that I need gimmickry, but hey, whatever works.
