I Want To Learn Another Language, Any Suggestions?

I already speak English, Korean, and Ebonics. I want to pick up another language. I was thinking Japanese?

How many languages are you fluent in? Which one gets you laid the most?

Finnish. Very useful. Around 5 million people worldwide speak it. One of the main languages to do business around the globe.

If you live in the US, learn Spanish. :thumbsup

My son is moving to Japan in March and I'm getting him Japanese language learning tapes and books so if you go that route, LMK what you find that's good! :)

Manowar 10-09-2004 08:46 AM

definetly Japanese. :thumbsup

Chinese with an eye on the next biggest economy

Spanish could be good for you, hell some places in the US are 100% spanish speaking lol

candyflip 10-09-2004 08:55 AM

I'd go with Spanish. You live in Florida, pretty soon no one there will speak anything but Spanish. :winkwink:

French is an international language. I would go with Spanish in Fla though.

Miami...aka...North Cuba speaks nothing but Spanish. Get lost and try to get directions. Good luck!

However, I have no desire to learn Spanish. Chinese is a good posibility because if they ever get their shit together they would certainly be an economic powerhouse. I'm still leaning towards Japanese.

Good suggestions so far. :thumbsup

I think it'll be cool to learn Japanese, since I've always longed for a vacation in Japan.

I'm fluent in English, Chinese, and mostly Spanish.

Learning Japanese (or any other asian language) is like reading the Bible backwards and trying to comprehend it-- Especially if you're American.

DavidVH 10-09-2004 10:56 AM

I'm good with French and Americanized English, and know just enough Spanish to start a bar fight.

I'd like to learn Chinese or Japanese, but I would also like to learn German and Finnish and Russian.

I'm a languages whore. :( :helpme
