damn. that sucks. :(

slapass 10-09-2004 05:56 AM

Iused them but all of all the stupid things I found it hard to figure out what was new.

Blockbuster has a similar service now that you can pick up.

We've used them for over a year. Awesome!! Never had any foul ups or scratched discs and our movies come fast!:thumbsup :thumbsup

QuaWee 10-09-2004 07:46 AM

i have been using it for 3 months, great service

Peaches 10-09-2004 08:26 AM

I've been using it for almost 5 years - LOVE IT!

I've had problems here and there but all in all it's a great way to get DVD's! Especially when you live 50 miles away from a decent rental place AND even when you lived w/in walking distance you still paid a ton of late charges

the_wizz 10-09-2004 08:29 AM

I use blockbuster

http://www.blockbuster.com

FaberX 10-09-2004 08:31 AM

I've been using it for more than a year, great service, great selection, movies arrive in one day. I've only had 1 scratched disc out of the more than 100 I've rented so far. Blockbuster is really scared of them :Graucho

I used them until they started screwing around and only sending 2 DVDs at a time instead of 3. It wasn't worth the money after that so I canceled.

Rictor 10-09-2004 09:28 AM

I used them until I started getting long delays between dvds AND they raised my monthly charge. I switched to Wal-Mart and so far my DVDs get to me much faster (it also helps that Wal-Mart has a distrubition point in my state and Netflix doesn't). Only drawback to Wal-Mart is that they don't offer the unrated versions of movies like The Girl Next Door and Bad Santa.

I've used them for over 3 years now! Awesome service. I hear they are merging with Tivo soon. Imagine renting straight out of your Tivo! :Graucho

I had the same problem plus all the new films took weeks to arrive. Turned to BlockBuster they have a monthly payment system for around $24.00 its better than Scratchflix.

Vanilla DeVille 10-09-2004 03:45 PM

Been using them for a couple years now and never had any problems. :)

Lane 10-09-2004 03:48 PM

Totally beats Blockbuster

CamChicks 10-10-2004 01:55 AM

Blockbuster = censored 'R' versions of films
Netflix = uncensored NC17/unrated versions

Important if you rent a lot of imports. :2 cents:

They claim they do but for some reason I started seeing delays in the shipment of my movies. Instead of sending all 3 at once like they usually do, I would only have 2 dvds out any given time. I even posted about it here to see if it was happening to anyone else. I finally got fed up with it and canceled.

Peaches 10-10-2004 06:26 AM

I've been a member so long I'm still grandfathered under my old contract and I get 4 out for.....I'll have to check my bill but I think it's $24.

I keep 2 movie and 2 TV show (use those for the treadmill) DVDs around :thumbsup

mardigras 10-10-2004 07:14 AM

Netflix is not that attractive to me. I have a video store around the corner, a Blockbuster 5 minutes away and the best video store in town about the same distance. I have at least 1000 channels to watch and if I order a HBO or Showtime package they throw in all the digital versions at no extra charge (about 30 channels each package).

infecto 10-10-2004 07:21 AM

They really are an awesome service imo. The basic account gives you 3 dvds at a time and I have never had a scrated disc ever and if you do I think you can check something off on the actual sleeve for the dvd. Another thing is they have a ton more movies then blockbuster does. They have all the older classics unlike blockbuster which pretty much carries only new stuff and some of the bigger older movies. And things have gotten alot better delivery time wise as they are opening up new centers often. They just opened up one in my state so instead of coming from atlanta I think it was it is not coming in from columbia so its a one day wait for me.
