I posted the same thought before when someone said something about it...but here is my thought again..

They were probally trying to do 2 things with that.
1. See if people were actually looking at the banner spots...so they put a misspell in it so some one would say somehting and others would be like...yea i noticed that too...mission accomplished.
2. They did it to get more coverage...cause they knew that eventually some one would post something about it and the views of the thread would to up to about 200. Now thats 200 more impressions plus the people that will hit refresh just to see it for them selves...so maybe 1:250 people will click it and signup for the program.... :)

I think its marketing genious...

But im probally just giving them more credit than i should...carry on...

People make typos all the time.

Either the person that signed off on the artwork didn't catch it or it was intentional.

pornguy 10-09-2004 01:27 PM

I think that the person probably made that on a friday night and just wanted to go out.

uvort 10-09-2004 01:29 PM

Either way they are now getting some extra exposure

no doubt, that's a lame mistake but who doesn't make a few of those throughout the year?

Harldy a conspiracy theory, more like a marketing technique - I remember studying this when I was doing my BComm. In this partiqular case it's jmost probably a typo though.
