Bush vs Kerry #2, who is winning so far ?
after 20 minutes tie ?
|
I say Kerry!
|
Kerry is starting to put the screws on.
He is clearly much more intelligent than Bush. |
even the first 15 min, but its swinging towards Kerry now. Bush is getting flustered fast.
|
Bush is pointing out his flip flopping ways to which Kerry changes the subject.
|
I'm glad you guys think Kerry is winning but I'm trying to be impartial. Kerry kicked his as so bad last time and we heard half of this a week ago so its harder to judge. I'd say Kerry is up by a little bit. Rednecks love that shit where Bush acts like a bad ass and says he makes decisions for america, not europe.

Kerry speaks better and composes himself much better
|
I would say Kerry. That outburst by Bush made him look quite disturbed.
"Where do I begin..." |
Kerry for sure.
The thing that most disturbs me as an American is, they are both calling each other liars. So, assume both are lying about things, I don't feel better thinking that the next President and current President are liars. I'd much rather watch a debate that argues the issues and solutions. I hear what both sides are saying, one second I think, wow, Kerry just owned him. Then I hear Bush, and 30% of the time he actually has a good answer. The rest is a bunch of distorted points. Advantage Kerry, but this whole process doesn't make me feel confident about either man. Kerry is for sure the better, poised speaker. |
Bush is frustated and angry - Kerry is composed and calm.
Kerry is winning so far. |
kerry's winning according to OCCN.
|
I think Kerry just called everyone in that hall a bunch of broke as fucks though as if none of them make enough money to be affected by the top tier tax increases. :1orglaugh
Other then that hes doing much better then Bush. Calm and he seems to be explaining how he wants to do things. |
Both did fairly well IMO. I like that Kerry finally cleared up the accusations of flip-floping. He made clear the reasons why he voted against things that he previously was in favor of. He said it's because there are portions of those bills and pieces of legislation that he disagrees with. You can agree with 99% of a bill but it can have one or two clauses that are downright wrong, and therefore you don't vote for it.
What if you had a bill that stated helping the homeless, but also had a clause in it that said 'help' meant giving them beer. I'd be in favor of helping the homeless but I'd sharply disagree that giving them beer is the way to do it. So I'd wouldn't vote for it. Kerry made a mistake by saying he agreed with a bill or legislation when he agreed with only portions of it and strongly opposed other portions of it that he feels need changing. Things are rarely black and white. But they're often presented that way. |
I thought Kerry did a very fine job of actually talking about the issues and what he would do.
Bush brought nothing to the debate but more of the same - no plan for the future at all. |
