$1 .info domains from godaddy?
 

Anyone buying any of these and have .info's already?

$1 ?? does .info domains get any strange treatment from SE's? if not I might buy a couple of 100.....

I think they limit 25. I've seen some .info's on Google occasionally.

Lots of registrars are giving away free .info domains, limit of 25 per account per registrar (Affilias doesn't charge the registrars for them), and renewals after the first year are I think in the $4+/year range. My reading of the situation: .info is doing a *lot* worse than projected, and they're trying to increase exposure and hook some longer term users with the free samples...it's not like there was much demand anyway, so they're not giving away many domains that people otherwise would have paid for. I have seen .infos in google, don't know if there's any special treatment but it does show that they're certainly not banned outright.

I got 150 free last month

Me and 10 of my closest friends got 25 free info's and they all decided to point them at my host :) I guess I have 275 to play with.

you can get 25 free somewhere else.

If you are using dotster , dont forget to remove the auto renew feature or some of your friends will be pissed ;)
