Paying your GF to get lost.
 

Anyone ever done it? Yesterday I said I would pay her salary for 6 months if she would get lost by tomorrow. Either I'm being realistic or I am hitting a new moral low.

If she works for you, it's justified - if she doesn't & you want to break up, I don't see why you have to pay her.

Because she has been staying here and I can't just eject her.

She has been putting me through a lot of stress with her job problems. She works for minimum wage at Best Buy and the trouble she is causing here is beginning to eat into my abilities. She had an opportunity to become a supervisor at another Best Buy that is about 30 miles away for a dollar an hour more and I thought it was so stupid I flipped out. She would actually be making less if you factor in the travel costs and deductions, but she would be a "Supervisor" at the new store. She declined the new position saying that her boyfriend forbade it, and now blames me for losing it saying I am childish.

My monthly income is probably more than the entire payroll there and I just can't comprehend why the fuck anyone would waste their time doing that, or more importantly waste my time during a very difficult (IBill) period here.

Why not send her to school then?... she'd shut up then and both of you would be happy. If you're making more than their entire payroll then I can't see how that $900/month of her would make any difference

You need to relax man. Just because YOU can make more money a certain way, doesn't mean other people can.

Maybe your girlfriend doesn't meet your needs in the brain department. She isn't very skilled? If you deal with unskilled people, you're going to run into problems like this. Find a new girlfriend with skills.

Better be careful with that. If she lived with you, you could end up getting screwed by her in court.

I'm one of those people who has had the epiphany and sees the difference between rich and poor as merely a matter of attitude.

It's true I have to relax and find a way to deal with people who do not see things the same way. But as you say the best thing is to find someone of like mind. That or just move to Thailand.

I agree on the attitude thing. But it's apparent that your girl doesn't have the attitude. She probably just doesn't care. She probably would have been happy with the supervisor position, more power. Did money really matter to her at the time? She lives with you, money isn't really an issue.
