"TEEN" is as bad as "LOLITA" as a keyword

The word Lolita only had a worse reputation but technically the word teen is just as bad.

Teen means 13 to 19 years old. Which means, 5 out of 7 age groups it stands for are underage.

The usage of this word should be acceptable only as "18+ Teen".

Here are some definitions from dictionary.com:

Lolita:
A seductive adolescent girl.

Adolescent:
A young person who has undergone puberty but who has not reached full maturity; a teenager.

If you do not agree, be specific why. This is not based on my opinion, it is the way I see it technically, and that is what matters in court.

Discuss.

Bullshit, It is the intent.
Very few searching for 'teens' would intend underage,
whereas 'Lolita' more likely would be.

crockett 10-08-2004 11:33 AM

Go away and stop talking like that someone from visa might hear your ramblings. What are we going to call them next if not Teens?

All Most 20s?
Barely Legal hags?
Young MILF's?

BradM 10-08-2004 11:34 AM

You're a fucking retard.

These keyword cover both underage and 18+ categories

A person looking specifically for CP would search for 'underage', 'child porn', 'illegal teen' etc..

Tell the same to Visa when they reject your site for having 'teen' in the domain, because they already do!

I agree. I feel there is nothing wrong with the keyword "teen".

My wife was a "teen" when I married her, eight"teen" years ago. :)

Not too bright are you?

Lolita implies underage girl due to it's original source. Teen does not. Anyone with even a little intelligence would be able to understand the difference.

And still the trolls continue to be a little thicker every day :glugglug

a 13 year old is a teen.. now how does the word teen not imply underage?

i do understand the difference, yet it doesnt lie in the definition of both words, its only the reputation of these words because of people who have used them.

several years ago, there were many paysites with 'lolita' in their domain names, and many of them were using ccbill. who says the word 'teen' will not go down the same road?

Your continuing drivel proves that you most certainly do not understand the difference between the two terms or even the origins of the words.

I'll say it again - as thick as shit aren't you?

karlm 10-08-2004 12:19 PM

Like my domain nailedteen.com then?

graphicsbytia 10-08-2004 12:25 PM

I suggest you spend less time speculating on usless drivel and more time finding out who made the 5 Millionth post :glugglug

Then why don't you backup your statement and explain the difference. I showed my point on explaining the similarity, I would like to see a contradiction before I can change my mind.

Because one has a very limited definition...an ADOLESCENT girl..while the other is not exclusive to one age set...and the word Lolita is derived from the book Lolita about a man interested in a 12 year old *read NOT TEEN* girl.

18 is a teen...a legal teen...just because it also covers 13-17 does not mean that is your intention..it's all about context.

Are you saying an 18 year old cannot be considered a lolita?

I'm saying exactly that.

The adult industry coopted the term lolita...the word Lolita came about to describe a young girl who was clearly not of age.

Well I was thinking girls who look underage, even though they may not be, could be called a 'lolita'

Maybe the definition is a bit vague.

it's not vague at all

fyi

The term "lolita" comes from a famous novel written by Vladimir Nabokov in 1955 about an older man's sexual obsession with a 13 yr old girl named Lolita

Exactly.

The terms "teen" and "lolita" are very far apart in both meaning and intent.

WicKed NinJas 10-08-2004 02:10 PM

Personaly I use the word "Coed" instead of teen but that was just a personal choice.

Babaganoosh 10-08-2004 02:10 PM

He's kind of right. We should embrace the word "Coed."

I think it is what you put with the word "teen" that makes the connotation more questionable or not. The word "teen" alone by itself is rather benign in my opinion, and shouldn't be banned in and of itself.

Acceptable:

Teen
legal teens
18+ teens
college teens

Probables for the NOT acceptable list:

underage teens
baby teens
young teen
schoolgirl teens
lolita teens

I think it is all about what terms you put with it. If you were to ban the word "Teen" then you'd be banning the term "Legal teen" by default. I would rather see the worlds "underage" and "lolita" banned sooner than having the word "teen" banned.

Some females are under the age of 18. Do you want to ban the term 'female' as well? After all it could possibly be describing someone that is a minor.

Around here a coed is a student who attends a school that has mixed male and female classes - they could be 5 years old even. Using that term as an exclusive replacement without considering non-USA markets may backfire in the long run. :2 cents:

quiet 10-08-2004 07:36 PM

get rid of the term female too. 1 - 17 are underage.
