I don't have a reality site online at the moment, but the one I have in mind I am going to have built around the content. Granted I ever actually put the idea into motion. :2 cents:

give the designerall of the content for the site and an idea of what you expect, then let them have at it. If they are any good at what they do - you'll get the best results.
