Webair...you Fucking Arsholes
What the fuck is this shit? Your live support doesnt work, and for some fucking reason my servers all show this, http://www.tastypink.com/
The day I get a hun listing (I had 7 sales in first 4 hours.. would have been a great day.. until WEBAIRs servers fuck up.. fair enough if they go down.. but they are up.. just my shit isnt working) so naturally my listing is removed. This is fucking stupid, I asked Webair to match a price of another server company, as they said they can do that. Their reply was, but the company you want us to match doesnt have 24/7 live support.... WELL EITHER DO YOU! It looks like all they need to do is add a serveralias line to your apache conf/virt file for the domain.
http://tastypink.com works http://www.tastypink.com doesn't. It gives a listing of the default htdocs dir. |

yes, but the odd thing is, why would they need to add that? All of my 18+ domains have been hosted on their servers for the last 6months.. all been setup.. and then.. the day I get a hun listing.. pulling in mad cash.. all of a sudden their shit removes that line from the apache... files..

Maybe it wasn't that?
Maybe they were reloading their name servers. Maybe they were reconfiguring apache. There are a hundred and one different things that could go wrong on a server at any given time that could have caused that. What people (and I'm not yelling at you, but people in general) need to realize is that hosting is not fail proof. Murphy's law will see to it that on your most important day, something goes wrong with your server that will take some time to fix. It could be down for only a little while. It could be down for a week. The point is, people need to quit jumping on the boards and yelling when their sites are down. Do you honestly expect tech support to sit at their console and ready GFY or any of the other boards all day? No. They're probably busy putting out fires and preventing bad things from happening to your box. So the live support box on their site isn't working. Do they have a ticketing system? Did you put in a support ticket? Did you call their number?? There are steps to go through before you jump on the boards and start screaming. Often times, there's a good explanation as to why the site is/was down. /steps off soap box. That wasn't aimed at you directly eddie. That was aimed at everyone who runs to the boards when their sites are down instead of following the logical chain.... |

I used Webair for a time, and finally got rid of them.
Nothing bad to say, but nothing good either. I use Cyberwurx. and have for the last 3 years. They have kick ass CS. cyberwurx.com :2 cents: |
