This is for the free site builders..

Got a couple of them in my work queue and I started thinking about the optimal # of pics to use on each site.

Now since it's pretty sweet if you can submit the 2 galleries to TGP's on top of submiting the site to a linklist... 15-16 pics per gallery would be minimum.

Then again the gallery would get more action going on if there was less pics, what I mean is, there would be less pics similar to each other when you like me don't show that much explicity. (You following?)

So maybe 12-14 pics per gallery would be optimal, and it would be simple to just make 2 extra html pages for the TGP galleries and put a few extra pics on.

Is it worth the hassle tho? In your experience does such small changes on a free site cause a significant difference?

I've done testing with the content, I see how that makes a difference, depending on how good I manage to pull of a tease I get a better CTR. (Even with a shitty text only design = content is god!)
But since we're actually working with 2 galleries here instead of just one, I'm not so sure about the significance since there are twice as many pics no matter how I go about it.

I have a few 100 free sites and run a link list... the min pics we take are 20 pics...10 on eatch page ...

I have been building them for about 3 years and only ever used 10 per page ..
thats about min to get listed ..as im not one for giving stuff away for free ...
convertions i have found a very good like this ...but it still comes down to your marketing in the end ...

I rather just build the freesite for freesite sub - less recips to track. Screw the gallery submissions at the same time.

Won't be submiting these babies anywhere, hosted stuff, was just curious how much you think # of pics matters.

Depends on the set(s) of pics. Ideally you like to give the surfer just enough to make them want more. 10 -12 per page seems to work well. :2 cents:
