Money, rings, cars, hoes...what you hustlin' for...

What type of sponsor promos do you prefer?

polish_aristocrat 10-07-2004 03:52 PM

Definitely cash.

Shipping prizes can be a pain in the ass for international webmasters.

teleblade69 10-07-2004 03:52 PM

Depends on the value of the cash or the prize. Whichever is of greater value is what I prefer.

Vitasoy 10-07-2004 11:18 PM

Show me the money. Cash;

So if Twisted Cash was to run a promo in the near future...what amount of cash would make you take notice and send traffic?

$17K over three months :Graucho

Actually, to be honest, I think it would depend on the work involved. If it was something like a drawing where each sale gets an entry, a small cash prize ($100 - $250) over a few weeks would be cool.

If it was something like design the best banner/gallery/freesite/etc for us, a larger cash prize would be expected. Same thing if the prize was for sending the most, or X amount of sales.

I am open to all options and to be honest, I am really interested in all feedback.

What if the cash was more money per signup?

I personally think this has been over done and it tends to be said that you shave when you run this sort of promo. I want to stay away from that ugly word.

Well, we just ran a similar promotion at Epic Cash (last Saturday) and it went over very well. Suprisingly, I saw no "shaving" remarks. But you're right, I've seen them in all other contests.

Personally, I like the more money per signup idea. You could twist the idea around and make it a permanent pay increase for a few webmasters.

For example: Send at least one signup between October 15th and October 31st and get a chance at a pay increase. Five lucky webmasters will have their payouts increased to $30 PPS or 70% revshare.

And obviously, you could play with those numbers.

I think cash is better as so many webmasters are not from the

US and have trouble getting the goods over..

beemk 10-08-2004 01:13 AM

definitely cash

WickedVenus 10-08-2004 01:15 AM
