Software to start affiliate program?
 

Hey, I'm looking for decent packages for running an affiliate program. Anyone have a favorite?

We are doing some non-traditional stuff so it would have to be something we could easily modify. (PHP or whatever).

Site owners.. what affilate software do you use?

Somehow I doubt I'll be able to rationalize paying 12 grand for a PHP script that we will still have to modify :1orglaugh

I'm sure it's very nice though.

Actually, you can't modify it, you don't get the source :)

It's a bit more than just "a PHP script" also tho. A $300 program that some kid in his basement writes is just "a PHP script". NATS, mpa3, partnersoft, and a few other products out there are a lot more involved than a simple script.

I'd love to speak with you about NATS more in depth. Almost everyone opts for the lease option which can be as low as $150 per month.

If you're just looking for a $300 script to throw up and try to run a program like that, I wish you all the luck in the world, and you'll need it.

Taboo Revenue has been good with us and have worked with us to get the features that we needed for our affiliate program.

I would also recommend Nats those guys have been easy to work with as well.

It's not standard web sales, so it will require heavy modification. My company already has a team of software engineers, so it doesn't make much sense for us to outsource the work.

I don't really care what language it's in, I said "PHP script" because that tends to be what people write this stuff in. And even if the project is huge.. if it is written in PHP, it's a script.

Free/Not-free doesn't really matter to me, as long as the product is a) well designed, b) is modifiable, and c) is not a hosted solution.
