First report of an explosion at Hilton Taba hotel on Egyptian-Israeli border Thursday night. Casualties reported. Magen David Adom declares multi-casualty emergency as Israeli holiday-makers stream back from Sinai vacation through Taba terminal.

Many casualties, including fatalities, in explosion that struck the Hilton Taba hotel lobby near Egyptian-Israeli border terminal which was full of Israeli visitors and set part of hotel on fire. Egyptian border police stop Israeli ambulances, helicopter and rescue teams from entering.

Bomb car suspected of blasting hotel full of Israeli families causing large number of casualties, including fatalities.

Scores of injured Israelis, some carrying wounded children, are making their way from burning Taba hotel on Egyptian side of border to border terminal. Egyptian police refuse to let them pass through to Israel because their passports left in rooms of devastated hotel. Western part of building has caved in.
