Webmaster Scamed Me! Can you guys believe it?
 

Hi guys

I would like to let everyone know that I have had to terminate my first affiliate. If anyone knows the person who owns and operates boobsworld please let me know. I am very disappointed. I know this is part of the business, so I knew my taste of this would come sooner or later. But just thought I would give everyone a heads up on what happened.

That sucks ass. At least you got your first scamm affiliate out of your system. Its always a good leson for the next affiliate that fills its gap..

Getting scammed sucks. I remember every hearing of a boobsworld.

They used credit card fraud. Epoch caught them.

It just sucks because i have never had to deal with this and losing all the money did not feel good.

You're better off going after his personal info set for payment.

If you dont mind me asking, how many figs were involved? Was there any payout?

Luckily there were no payouts yet and the figure was not huge. Still makes me mad.

Thats why to me if someone wants to join your affiliate program . Have them email you and ask some questions what sites do you have? who do you do business with? How old are you? Cuts down problems especially for smaller programs that cant take a 50 cb hit.,

As the story goes, Ultsearch operates a PPC (pay-per-click) business based in Hong Kong that has a portfolio of over 50,000+ registered domains that it uses for this purpose. It is believed he started grabbing up domains in late 1998, and has only accelerated acquiring them in recent years.

so they're no registar so if he left the contact info as ultsearch theres a possiblity its one of his regged domains he uses for PPC traffic i dunno if he would have gone through that much trouble but oh well or its just fake contact info

Hi Sunny, :) Join the club..This won't be the last time too. Try to get to know your webmasters a little more by emailing them and watching daily activities from new webmasters! It's a good idea to start approving webmasters maunally! this way you can do a back check by emailing ICQing ect..to verify if all is correct.

I think more and more fraudulment webmasters are hiting small cash programs because they know all the big guys watch really carrefully. On our side we see an increase of small fraudulent webmasters, mixing a few real sales in a bunch of fraudulent ones and keeping it low to stay below the radar.

I remember this guy.... He has several domains that end up on a search page like this.

He had signed up as a affiliate through ccbill in Feburary of 2003 but just recently requested access to my affiliate area using a different name and email address than what he used in CCBill. The URL in CCBill was different too but ended up on the same generic search page.

I didn't approve his request because:
* The name and email he supplied did not match CCBill records.
* The site listed in ccbill as his site URL tries to force a home page change to searching.net.
* The site listed in ccbill as his site URL does not contain any adult content, nor did the site he used when requesting access to our affiliate area.


I sent him an email indicating all of these reasons and told him that I put his CCBill affiliate account on suspend until he corrected the issues.

He emailed back the next day with a new name, but still didn't change anything else. I sent another email and said thanks, but no thanks.

Glad I did now!

The other URLs he used were: all-teens.net and fetish-video.com. Time to keep an eye out for this asswipe.
