I respect her for that. I wouldn't be happy if my daughter wanted to do it. I would just want her to understand the risks and consequences of becoming a porn star. If she still wanted to do it, I would support her, but I would still not be happy.

I do have a hot 18 year old daughter.. well she will be 18 in a few months. She is doing her second year in college and wants to go to lawschool. Why any parent would push their family into porn is beyond me.. they must have very little faith in their daighters ability to do anything else in thier lives

I think it's just because we have to be realistic. While we may understand that what we do is just a job, the wider society still looks down upon us and the industry. Therefore we wouldn't want our children to be involved in this business (as content or otherwise) if they can be successful outside of it. So I don't think it's a matter of us looking down on content people.

I agree. Sexuality and sexual innuendo are everywhere these days but the hardcore stuff is still primarily kept out of mainstream (which is probably good). It's accepted behind closed doors and on college campuses but not in the boardroom and on job applications.

It would depend on the personality of my daughter.

If I thought she could handle it I would say yes and warn her about the pitfalls of the business. If I thought she could not handle it I would employ her as a shooter and let her see what it's about.

But all the 18 year olds we publish are someones daughters.

Sometimes not. The sad reality is many girls enter the business as a result of abuse, neglect, etc.

At the age of 18 and above, if you have ever had a child that age, you'd know, you don't "ALLOW" them to do anything, or disallow them to do anything. They pretty well do what they want to do. LOL

My thing isn't about a morality issue per se, where she would be concerned, it would be too creepy for ME! If she just absolutely insisted, I'd see that she found a good "guy" to shoot her and so forth, but I would never be able to be present and physically watch it.... I am very open with my kids in that, I teach them sex isn't a bad thing at all and nothing to be ashamed of....... but WATCHING them do it to me isn't an option.

I still see my kids as 5 year olds no matter how old they are. LOL
I'd prefer they did something else with their lives, not that porn people are bad.... it would just mostly be a personal issue with ME, not with her. She's old enough now to make up her own mind about what she wants to do and I wouldn't try and stop her, but I would sure as all hell teach her about it and talk to her about the ups and downs and make damn sure she knew what she was walking into.
