Did you read the question that the moderator asked Cheney? It wasn't about how many black women have AIDS, it was about how many more black women DIE of AIDS than their counterparts.

AIDS isn't a black problem, it isn't a white or mexican problem... Last I checked, it doesn't care about fucking skin color.

People are DYING from AIDS, why should it concern him what color, sex or age they are? How will that fix the problem, him knowing the statistics, even more specifically how many more people are dying in one group rather than the other....

Notice how Cheney says "rate of infection" in the same sentence that he says he wasn't aware of the epidemic in regards to African American women? That would lead anyone with a brain to believe he was in fact talking about how many people have aids rather than how much more likely black women are to die from it than others.

The question is regarding healthcare as she states.
The question is regarding a particular demographic (which one is irrelevent, and he doesn't have to know the number off the top of his head she gave him the damn numbers).
The question was why is that demographic more likely to die once they do contract aids.

Instead of answering that they are less likely to be able to afford the proper healthcare because the Bush admin. is in bed with the drug companies, he chose to change it over the the rate of infection and dodge the question completely.
