Guitar players, give me your opinion on this idea...

www.dreamache.com/guitarsite

as you know, normal tablature is made up of boring text... well, this would actually animate the dots on the frets/strings in flash according to a predefined tempo. you'd have the ability to slow it down (to figure it out), stop / rewind / fast forward / pause, etc etc

it would pull of this data from MySQL. the potential to create a really massive site, as a free service, would be big i think.

tell me what you think.

thanks.

It has potential but it's hard to say at this point.

I would stay with it for sure if I where you :thumbsup

I think I've seen guitars that do that. I like your idea though - would be damn popular I reckon. :thumbsup

My son plays guitar a bit and something like this he would love

Not a bad idea as long as its simple for users.

Im a 22 year vet of guitar playing and simple is better for newer users.

Have it beginner + advanced + expert levels and have new tunes in there that are in the charts for cover band guys as well as classic tunes.

How to lessons would be ideal for newbies.

Guitar Player magazine back in the 1980's - 1990's had some of the best columns written for learning from the Pro's. Joe Satriani had a really excellent column in there that I learned a TON of shit from.

Rock on man!

That would be tough for me.
Do you have a lefty version??

There are a lot of advantages this would have over Guitar Pro...

for one since it is based all online, it is accessable anywhere with an internet connection. Load time would be fine and like any other site.

it is also FREE

and it would be an interactive community with user song ratings, contests, suggestions, comments, etc etc..

i think it would be a lot better.
