OWNAGE OF THE YEAR: Cheney directs millions of Americans to George Soros website
Dick Cheney said people could research the Halliburton charges at:
http://www.factcheck.com which redirects to http://www.GeorgeSoros.com But the actual site is: http://www.factcheck.org FUCKING SELF-OWNAGE :1orglaugh There it is... http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/6187803/ IFILL: Mr. Vice President? CHENEY: I can respond, Gwen, but it?s going to take more than 30 seconds. IFILL: Well, that?s all you?ve got. (LAUGHTER) CHENEY: Well, the reason they keep mentioning Halliburton is because they?re trying to throw up a smokescreen. They know the charges are false. They know that if you go, for example, to factcheck.com (sic), an independent Web site sponsored by the University of Pennsylvania, you can get the specific details with respect to Halliburton. It?s an effort that they?ve made repeatedly to try to confuse the voters and to raise questions, but there?s no substance to the charges. IFILL: Thirty seconds. EDWARDS: These are the facts. The facts are the vice president?s |
now it is redirecting to www.georgesoros.com but last night it was pointing to a search page

Cheney & Edwards Mangle Facts Bush Mischaracterizes Kerry's Health Plan Is Cheney sure he wants people to come here? |
Ouch! ROFL !

But I think Cheney, from a self-serving perspective, should not have directed viewers there, even if he had said the proper domain. Presenting an unbiased view of facts isn't in the interest of either party, or they wouldn't keep spinning and lying about everything. |
greatest ownage ever. :1orglaugh :1orglaugh
|
If the owner of that site is getting hammered with the bill I would sue that idiot for every dime of it plus damages.
Now why can't they fuck up and say one of my domain names? |
That is fucking amazingly hilarious!!

Soros has a link to factcheck.org now, but factcheck.org is mostly dead. They seem to be using some crapola microsoft database back end for all of their content links, which is killing the server. They also still have their bandwidth-hogging graphics, which are basically just graphics of really big text anyway, which loads severely slowly.

:1orglaugh :1orglaugh Good stuff

Thats pretty funny. Good stuff.

Soros rules
|
There is now a note on the Soros website:
" FactCheck.com Correction We do not own the FactCheck.com domain name and are not responsible for it redirecting to GeorgeSoros.com. We are as surprised as anyone by this turn of events. We believe that Vice President Cheney intended to direct viewers of the Vice-Presidential Debate to FactCheck.org." |
