The first part of this is a repost from another board. The second part has been added after reading your last post here on GFY in the "I got fucked over" thread.

THE REPOSTED PART:

Do you remember life before all the money came along?

Do you remember having to wake up wondering, "How are the bills going to be paid this month?"

Please put yourself back in that situation. Look at things through the eyes of another.

When you put aside work that pays your bills and put all of your hopes and dreams on the words of another person, there comes a time when you would like a little security in the form of a signed document.

And when you're working long hours with little sleep and having to ignore work that will pay your bills to make sure that a project, secured only by the promises of a "rich guy" you trust, will succeed... there comes a time you would like a little security in the form of a signed document.

So when you email that "rich man" and ask for the signed document and voice your heart felt concerns on a few issues, you do not expect him to tell you to fuck off with no discussion.

Regardless of the "rich man's" personal situation, everyone needs a little stability in their life.

Please keep that in mind.


THE NEW PART, IN RESPONSE TO THIS:

Is it true, or not true, that the two of them had to do 100% of the work while you were in the hospital? Of course they did, because you were incapacitated. They didn't complain about that because it's not something that could be helped. But is it not also true that things were going to continue to be that way? Is it not understandable to want a larger percentage of the site if one is doing a larger percentage of the work than originally agreed upon?

Is it not also true that you wanted a 10 year lease on THEIR domain?

You invest less than $10,000 and want the Lion's share of the site? And you bitch because they want to renegotiate once they're stuck doing the Lion's share of the work?

Fletch started that site before you were involved. And for less than $10,000 you want to control a site that will likely make more than that in a single month on advertising? You wish to control that and receive a much larger percentage for at least 120 months?

I do not blame Fletch for asking you to renegotiate. All he did was **ASK** and you blew up, correct? You were not even willing to discuss the matter? You told him to fuck off and have fun with his board? Then you brought it directly to the boards?

The board was being run for fun. Of course it's more work than anyone imagined.

The amount of money was less than $10,000 in what a month? I doubt that was the end of the marketing all together.

Who in their right mind renegotiates agreements? A renegotiation means you get less than originally agreed upon. No thanks, I would probably walk away too.

You are such a clueless person. No wonder you're still working for someone else after all this time in the business. I had a very long telephone conversation with Fletch. This whole situation sucks and easily could have been settled with a phone call instead of a public message board "feel sorry for me" demonstration.

What exactly isn't settled? Fletch / Cherry have their board and quiet has said he wants nothing to do with it. I seriously doubt that will change over any amount of conversation. When I cut ties with something it is for good. No time for headaches.

What's "so fucking sad" (to coin a phrase from Quiet's thread title) is that Quiet's meds are changing an ordinarily decent guy into something else.

I remember a thread where the tables were turned. Quiet thought I was taking advantage of Fletch. Where are those wise sentiments when you're the person involved?

I've known Fletch for a long time, and he's done work for me in the past. I've known quiet for a long time, and hell, I've even talked to him on the phone.

Pay attention to who STARTED the threads. If he didn't want input he wouldn't have started MANY different threads about the same thing.

Ok, i missed whole Quiet / Fletxxx drama until someone pointed some threads to me....

I decided to start posting less in generall...so I could care less..but all I can say it that i am kinda disapponted with the whole situation......but still wish the best to both Quiet and Fletch.

I've been in situations before where I made the mistake of getting caught in the airing of my own life when it shouldn't have been. So I can, and will, say what I please on the subject.

And of course the vultures that want to perpetuate it in the name of "trying to help" are the worst of it all.

If quiet's sick, then he needs to get some help. If things didn't work out for the board partnership then they all need to move on and do the best they can with it. Either work it out, or barring that, let it go and do their own things.

Dwelling on the negatives and making a public spectacle out of them serves no purpose. Unless of course, it's fake drama. I'm certainly not saying it is, since that would be really shitty.

No one has asked you not to say what you please. You posted that you wished everyone would mind their own business. My response is that people who start many different threads on the same topic are not looking for others to "mind their own business" on the matter.

Friends and business are a recipe for disaster. I dont understand why people dont use signed contracts for everything before they start any kind of project together. Else, this is what happens.

Fletch and Quiet had a good thing going. I hope they can resolve their issues. Their project is just not the same without the both of them.
