Internet marketing.

People I know, know what I work with. But if I meet someone that are best off not knowing what I work with, for example a new girlfriends relatives and stuff I always say I work as a programmer.

Before I used to say that I worked with Internet marketing, but there were always follow-up questions to that.
So I switched to say that I work as a programmer, which is not a lie. No one understands shit of that, so so there's never any follow-up questions :)

Thats what I use as well. They just assume I sell drugs. No biggie

actually I just tell them I do website design and if they push it I tell them I work for adult website companies building sites that use an age verification system to keep minors away from adult material on the internet. that way adults that want it can see it and it keeps kids out. It's a fancy way of saying AVS but most people I've found are pretty resonable and are okay with that. If they are offended by it then I just leave. Life is short and I'm not going to waste it on people who think I'm some kind of urchin.

I tell everyone what I do... family, friends, girlfriend and her parents.

None have ever had a problem with it, and if they did... they'd just have to find some way to deal with it... that's all.

I tell them I make adult porn sites - why not tell the truth? Fuck them if they don't like it.

People who I know I tell the truth in, they immediately think that I am a porn star, and then I explain to them that I sell novelty and may start shooting but will not star in they usually chuckle.

Honestly it is a win/win when it comes to the parents and friends with this thing. Anyone who will condemn you for it is not someone I would want to hang around with so begone, anyone who acts stupid about it is not very mature and likewise I would not want to hang around either. I do not try to impress the mom/dad of a girl I am with, their opinion on things do not really matter to me, I am with their daughter, not them, if she can not think for herself then I have no respect for her and neither will they I am sure. Mom/dad will turn on you for other shit in the future if they are that kind of person so why walk on eggshells?

If you show anyone there is something wrong with the industry by acting ashamed then you send them a message that you are ashamed of yourself and you are a bad person. I am in the adult industry, leave it at that.

I tell them that I was the tour manager for The Rolling Stones back in the 70s. Once they find out that I am 22, they don't really take anything I say seriously, then you can tell them whatever you want and it won't matter, cause they'll think you're BS'ing them. :thumbsup

ive juggled this ordeal a few times

1. If you want to seem innocent and please the fam
lie through your teeth and dont give any company names
(be a shame if they believed you then let curiosity get
you busted lying)
2. To be a man and have some pride afterward
look her parents directly in the eyes and say
"I sell porn"
after the laughter subsides and they ask what you really
do for a living - see #1
3. Fess up and go for gold
see #2, but instead of going to #1 tell the truth (usually
the best idea) but of course exaggeration is allowed, so
continue to tell them how you dont actually deal with the
content, but rather you are support and a programmer.


#1 usually works the best, but #3 is often times better. cause getting busted on a lie is not the greatest thing to do.
