Do any of you find it hard to take anything or any new drama at face value?

I do.

I find myself doubting everything.... even the drama that 'seems' real often isn't. Hard to know what is real disputes and what is just more pre-arranged pre-aggreed-upon bullshit driveltripe.


I put nothing past anyone anymore.

I am honestly tired of all the boards now.

People need to stop taking this board shit so seriously.

Some people here are hooked as bad as any housewife glued to the afternoon soaps, eating it all up as if it was real life, as if any of it matters.

That drama I brought to the boards a few years ago regarding Hungryman and his thieving ways was real.

Lately a lot of shit has been transparently fake though, you're right.

No it has nothing to do with taking it "real."

It's just those who wish to play games are making something that use to be useful pretty much obsolete.

Sure you can still do some biz but it becomes quite difficult.

Now addressing your whole drama issue...I've stated the same thing before.

You have 2 people mixed up in drama, if you take a side and it's fake drama you stand the chance to creating issues between yourself and one of the parties involved...sucks if it's just bullshit fake drama.

I don't mind standing up for what I think is right or wrong if it's real..but if it's fake like I said it can cost you friends, business contacts etc.

Another thing that I tire of, and this goes back to the drama thing is those who come here posting all the drama and then walk around like the cock of the barnyard strutting and calling anyone and everyone who fell for it sheep.

WTF kind of arrogance is this?

Who do these people honestly think they are?

People come here asking to be trusted or build up trust and then post bullshit drama on a board and then violate that trust because it's all lies and then start calling people sheep because they chose not to think they're a liar..wtf is up with that?

That's what I'm tired of. This whole cult of personality trip that's really gone to some people's heads.

I will disagree on this point, only because I was addressing this point to the masses on the boards... the "sheep" as it were, who feed the fake drama types and buy into everything they read hook line and sinker. That certainly does have a lot to do with the amount of bullshit going on here.

If the sheep weren't eating the fake shit up with an oversized spoon there would be little demand for fake drama.

I consider the boards entertainment and info if you are skilled at verifying the BS:glugglug

I know what you're saying....but it still leaves me questioning the integrity of those who get off on the fake drama..because CD you and I were at one time part of the "sheep."
Why?
Because we chose to trust "trustworthy" posters and their intentions when making posts.

It didn't take too long before I stopped trusting anything on these boards..present drama very much included.

I won't mention names..but I remember one designer who has been proven to be a scammer where he and his buddy came on GFY late one night and started calling each other out as cheats etc...they later started to laugh about people believing it, they were only joking.

I was amazed at what kind of idiot would start a thread with friends calling him a cheat in order to get page views on GFY.

Not everyone follows a thread to it's conclusion, many just glance at them and go on about their daily lives. I've wondered to this day how this affected the one person who is still involved in this biz.

I think i'm almost done with this shit... might be putting gfy and dmpm and half a dozen others in my hosts file pretty soon.

That will cure my addiction.

It's funny too because the most "respected" members of GFY are just drama whores. I am sure without mentioning names everyone knows who I am talking about.

And THAT..... is the reason why I started this topic.

I have serious doubts about a lot of so-called *drama* that takes place on the boards these days.


And for the record... even when I did jump in with both feet and get involved/posted my opinion about whatever drama-du-jour going on in the past, I never truly got all emotional and worked up over it like some people seem to do these days.


There must be a fine balance here, for combining the doing of business & networking with it also being a mild diversion for amusement. Not many seem to be able to find that balance.

The funny thing is , everyone else calls the other ones, the people that believe the board to much.... the "not me but them" atittude is very prevelant.... it is irony at it's finiest, cause the ones who bitch the most about " it's only a board" are the ones who believe everything they see, cause so and so said it, or like to point the finger at someone else quickly, oer defend themselves virgorously when attacked, but then say, hey no worries it is just a board LOL LOL

Drama is still more interesting than all the "would you hit it?" threads. :glugglug
