Boyfriend is coming over to meet the fam for the 1st time!

I NEVER bring a boy home to meet my extended family...... but now im 100% sure they need to meet this guy!!!!

How long do you guys usually wait to introduce your significant other to the fam?

My family is 8 hours from where I live...so it takes a while before they meet my girlfriends !

Met my girlfriends family on the first date....had dinner with them.

My family has gatherings about 2 times a month. If I've dated someone seriously for more than 2 months, they've met the family :)

I would never take my girl back to see my family. I would have to drive an hour to them, stay and hour, then an hour back. When you are being charged $500 per hour for the girls services you dont really want to waste any time.

thats so cool - my niece is bringing over her guy for the first time to my house for thanksgiving to meet the family. I think there is no set rule for this except it happens when you know its more than a fuck buddy.

Before I was married I brought 'him' home to meet the family at Christmas time after we were together almost a year. He and I lived in Seattle and they live in Alabama. I warned the family that if they did something to mess this up I would have to live with them when I got old because time was running out!

He was nervous meeting a true Southern family. My Mom met him at the door with a cocktail and he told me he loved her from that moment on. He loves my family so much... he flew from Seattle to help me cut pine trees and mop up muddy water at Mom's house after hurricane Ivan. That is a 4 hour flight and a 7 hour drive :thumbsup
